The Guild was founded in 1977 as a non-profit community based volunteer organization with a mandate to operate as a community resource in the art and craft of pottery.  The Guild advances the Art & Craft of pottery by providing a studio for its members, and classes (adult and children) for those in the community interested in the craft 

 

The Guild sustains its efforts through membership and class fees, and by holding craft sales and workshops. It is also the grateful recipient of grants from the Mississauga Arts Council and The Ontario Trillium Foundation.  

Monthly meetings are open to visitors and include demonstrations and workshops presented by invited guest speakers and guild members. There is also a lending library of books, periodicals and tapes for members.

Regular newsletters keep members informed on guild and other ceramic related activities in the region and distribute information on sales and events where members can leard, attend and sell their wares.
