Showcasing Our Members

Our themed exhibitions are venues for our members to share their work and creativity with the public.

CONFLUENCE – “An act or process of merging, coming or flowing together.”

Mississauga Potters’ Guild Mentorship Group, led by Susan Low-Beer, is an aggregate group of ten experienced ceramic artists each with a distinctive voice and varying points of departure.

The Mentorship Exhibition was featured in the retail Gardiner Shop (www.gardinermuseum.on.ca).

SANGUINE – “A synonym for the ‘ruby’, the traditional gemstone.”

This juried exhibition at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre Gallery celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Mississauga Potters’ Guild and honoured the longevity and growing connection to the cultural community in Mississauga.

UNCHARTERED – “Personal Creative Journeys”

A Mentorship Programme where participants took personal creative journeys. Under the guidance of Mentor Angelo di Petta, Professor Emeritus of OCAD University, each participant came to the programme with a different level of experience and education in clay.

EMERGE – “Each artist seeks to master their material and processes to see their vision and voice emerge from the raw material of clay to the finished object.”

The Mississauga Potters’ Guild planned the exhibit to emerge into the broader arts community and establish its place as an organization of exceptional depth and diversity in clay.

CHRONOS – “The passage of time through a multitude of perspectives”

This juried exhibition at The Mississauga Living Arts Centre Gallery celebrated our 35th year in the Mississauga cultural community. Chronos, was attended by approximately 120 visitors.
